Tamara Tuia
Geriatric Clinical Program Lead
I am a proud member of the Navajo Nation, deeply committed to serving and uplifting my Indigenous community. Born and raised in Arizona, my connection to this land, my family, and
my culture has shaped the foundation of who I am. I’m also a big sports fan and love supporting
our hometown teams.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and later completed my Master of Social Work at Arizona State University. My professional journey
began in behavioral health, where I worked with adolescents in both group home and outpatient settings. Supporting youth and future generations is a passion that continues to guide my work today.
Over the years, my career has expanded into leadership roles and social services, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges families face, especially during periods of child separation. These experiences strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, culturally
informed care.
In my practice, I specialize in grief therapy, family therapy, trauma informed care, and supporting individuals experiencing depression and anxiety. I also have extensive experience working with individuals navigating substance use challenges, both in individual and group settings. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where healing, growth, and empowerment can take place.
I am dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, guided by my passion for service and my commitment to strengthening and uplifting my community.
