Rey Reupena

Hello, my name is Rey Reupena. I have over 15 years of professional experience in Social Work, Behavioral Health, and Mental Health Services, serving individuals from birth through adulthood. Throughout my career, I have worked in several roles across the behavioral health field, gaining a broad and meaningful understanding of the diverse needs within the communities I serve.

I specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse, youth involved with the Department of Child Safety, clients navigating grief and loss, individuals struggling with substance use, and those living with a wide range of mental health diagnoses.

My work is grounded in compassion, cultural awareness, and a commitment to helping people move toward
healing and stability. I earned my associate degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from Riverside City College
in California, which sparked my passion for working with youth and becoming more involved in my community.

In addition to my behavioral health work, I coach Varsity level high school football at American Leadership Academy, where I mentor young athletes both on and off the
field.

I also own and operate a group home for youth in foster care and serve as a Bishop (Pastor) in my local church. These roles allow me to support individuals and families in multiple capacities, ensuring their emotional, spiritual, and practical needs are met.

As someone of Samoan descent, I was raised in a culture that values unity, service, and the belief that “it takes a village.” This upbringing shaped my commitment to always look for the good in others and to approach each day with the hope of creating positive change. I strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I encounter and to help individuals find success as they navigate life’s challenges.
